Chantal Partamian joins us on November 4 at 6:00 PM, at the Raah Lab, for a presentation and discussion. In her practice, Partamian approaches the missing image and the missing subject as forms of haunting, tracing what remains absent, erased, or displaced within archives and collective memory. Working from a diasporic and minoritarian position, she uses found footage, family films, and experimental cinema to navigate fragmented histories and the distance between image, place, and belonging. She is interested in how these absences haunt cities, cities that can themselves be understood as catastrophes in the making.November 4 | 6 PM | Raah Lab (1250 Rue Guy, FB 630.17)
